Traversing Downtown Sonoma and Touring Wineries
Hi guys!
So one of the last posts I promised before I dropped off the face of the Earth was a post about my first trip out into the vineyards in Sonoma with my family. We are huge wine-o’s so my family makes it a point to go out to California and drink delicious wine every so often! This was my first time joining them and it was one of the most beautiful, enriching, and delicious experiences I have ever had! If you ever get the opportunity to drink some of your favorite wines at the vineyards/wineries where the grapes are grown, I highly recommend it! You learn so much, and there’s something about drinking incredible wine from its source with incredible people in an incredible environment. We went to Cline Cellars, Jacuzzi Vineyards, Gloria Ferrer, and Walt, which may have been my absolute favorite. If this post wasn’t so tardy, I might have gone into greater detail about each place and what I learned about the wines; but at this point I just really wanted y’all to see how beautiful it was! If you’re interested in learning about the wineries I went to or are interested in more wine posts, let me know in the comments below!
Downtown Sonoma is absolutely adorable with cute store fronts and delicious restaurants. We ate at two restaurants in the downtown area: El Dorado, which was part of a hotel, and The Girl and the Fig, which the birdhouse picture is from. Both were so so delicious, and again, I wish I had written this post sooner so I could really get into the details. So much delicious food and drink, I’m almost positive you can’t go wrong with any dining choice you make in the area! I also loved that there was a huge park in the middle that was filled with families and pets enjoying the beautiful weather. Sonoma is a very interesting town with quite the history, as you may see from the pictures below. I never would’ve guessed that there would be so many preserved structures and artifacts!
Have you ever been to Sonoma? Where are the places I HAVE to go to when I’m back? Leave me comments below!
