Current Binges: August 2016 Edition
**EDIT**: The night that I was going to post this my computer stopped working and then died forever. I was in mourning for the past week or week and a half or so… so this was already late but it is now especially late. Please forgive me.
HOW IS IT ALREADY THE END OF SEPTEMBER?! Ugh, oh my gosh I cannot even handle how quickly this year is going by you guys! This post now seems incredibly late as September is almost completely done at this point. Better late than never is what I like to say! So without further ado, here are my (not so) current binges for August!
European Wax Center Exfoliator and Serum Wipes
So I decided to finally bite the bullet and try European Wax Center after about 5 or 6 years of waxing, and I am wondering what took me so long! As someone with curly hair, I have to say that hard wax is most definitely better for my waxing needs and my constant battle with ingrown hairs. The use of hard wax in combination with European Wax Center’s custom line of products has actually changed my life! So they actually just recently completely changed their line of products and I LOVE what they did! I still need to try all of the new body washes and lotions, but I started with their new serum wipes and body exfoliator and y’all….omg. Let’s start with the exfoliator. They traded out the old product for a new chemical exfoliator that let’s you see all of the dead skin you’re removing as you rub the product over your skin (gross, but strangely satisfying). I never tried the old product to be honest, but I like the results that this new edition has given me. The bottle suggests use at least 3x a week, but I am bad and forget and am lucky to do it twice a week. I was getting my best results when I was being consistent so I’m working on getting back to that. Now as far as the serum wipes go, if you only choose one product from the EWC line, it should be the serum wipes. They’re a little less expensive than the bottle of serum and way more convenient. They come in a container of about 35 wipes if I’m not mistaken, and have the serum already soaked in as well as a nice antiseptic. It eliminates the step of having to get/carry cotton rounds to put serum on and personally makes it easier for me to stick to my regimen. As I mentioned earlier, I have been looking for a solution for ingrown hair for literally years and years and this is the first thing that gave me results I was happy with. GET THIS! GET THIS! GET THIS!!!!
Cupcake Wars
Lol featuring this months embarrassing show I binge watched. I don’t care what anyone says. Competitive cooking/baking shows will never get old for me. Something about it is so relaxing and I love seeing what people come up with! I watched every single episode of this show that netflix had and I am only slightly ashamed, but I definitely don’t regret it. It inspired me to get fancy in decorating some homemade cupcakes for my roommate’s opening night of her show she was in…and they were very ugly. But it inspired me nonetheless, and took a lot of my time this August so I of course had to mention it.
Amazon Prime
So this one is kind of a no brainer and also I am suuuuper late to the party but Amazon Prime is amazing. Especially after moving to Brooklyn and not having easy access to the stores that I usually shop at, this has been an absolute lifesaver with the 2-day delivery. I haven’t taken advantage of any of the other features like the video, music, or pantry..but I plan to…so I’ll get back to you on that one. I also just learned that there are a ton of other features I’m not using like early access to lightning deals, photo storage, family savings on things like diapers, and so much more. Logistically speaking, I’m paying $11.97 a month, but they tell me I could save $32.88 over the course of 12 months if I switched to an annual payment plan. If you are someone who uses amazon fairly frequently then Prime is the way to do it man.
That’s all for now. I am embarrassed by the tardiness of this post but please love me still <3 See you next time! If you are a prime member and you think I’m missing out on something particularly cool, leave me a comment below!
