Current Binges: July 2016 Edition
Welcome to my first Current Binges post! A couple of my favorite bloggers/vloggers do a “favorites” post or video and I think this is going to be my version! I love seeing what people are in to and how that changes as time passes… SO. Without further ado, my current binges for..well, let’s say July because August is just beginning.
1. Worst Cooks of America
So I am one of those people who could sit and watch food network for hours (as you can maybe see, my second ‘continue watching’ show has to do with cupcakes). I love watching people make delicious things, especially if there is some competition involved. This show is especially cool because you get to watch people who are horrible at something become really good at it. The episodes are pretty lengthy at about 40 minutes each, so it’s kind of a commitment to watch, but I usually turn this on if I need to take some time to unwind and chill. I’ve snagged some tips to help me while I’m cooking which has been cool. Also, watching the transformation that the contestants undergo is really satisfying for me and like I said, I love looking at food. #fatty
2. Garmin VivoActive
I got my first Garmin activity tracker in February of 2015 and I quickly became obsessed with it. It was just a little Vivofit but it helped to keep me moving after I became a NARP and didn’t play sports anymore. My Vivofit was very near and dear to me until it fell off my wrist and got run over by a car in March of this year (RIP Vivvy). Since then I have been in the market for a new fitness tracker and after a lot of research, this is what I ended up going with! I could go on and on about specs and reasoning for my choice, but I feel like that could be a post all its own. If you’re interested in seeing a post or video about why I picked the VivoActive, leave a comment below! I will tell you that the cute little interface, 3 week battery life, and water resistance were huge factors in my choice. I’m extremely happy with my decision and have loved the results this has provided me for tracking workouts, steps, and sleep among other things! I’m really working on self-care and becoming my most healthy self, so this is a very helpful tool on that journey for me.
3. Cat Care
PONTES!!! Guys I think Pontes hasn’t made nearly enough appearances on the blog, so I’m aiming to change that from here on out. In line with my self-care and mission to become healthy, I am putting Pontes on her own mission. She has been shedding excessively for the past year since we moved into my prior apartment and after doing some research I think it’s because she has been stressed 🙁 I also think that I could be providing her with a better diet that has things she needs for her coat and overall health to be better (like omega 3 Fatty Acids!) Upon moving to BK we switched her to Blue Buffalo Indoor Health and she LOVES IT. Of course we just switched so I can’t be positive I see any results yet, but I’m hoping after we settle in and she has been on this food for a while I will see significantly less shedding. I will keep y’all updated on that! I wanted to switch her to a wet food as well, but she just would not eat it! If any of you have bengals and know of a wet food that they like please leave comments below.
That’s it for now! I think three things is a good amount? I don’t know, I don’t want to bore you guys..we’ll see what happens moving forward! If you also love cooking shows or cat food, comment below! Let’s bond over it <3
