My First Barn Sale in the Hudson Valley
Mav and I went back to visit our alma mater this weekend (which was, as always, incredible!) and decided to make a little trip out of it! Driving back up north made me realize how much I missed living in the Hudson Valley. All of the beautiful rolling hills and green trees and grass everywhere…It is truly one of the most beautiful places in our country and I think everyone should make sure they visit at some point! While on our way, we started passing a ton of signs for different barn sales in the area, so we decided to stop by one and check it out!! I don’t know if you are a fan of Fixer-Upper like we are, but let me tell ya Joanna would have had a field day at this place! There were two barns filled with everything ranging from old hub caps to antique sewing machines to extremely cute salt and pepper shakers (one of my favorite items!). I’m so excited to have my own place someday to decorate with different one-of-a-kind accent pieces that each tell their own story. We spoke with the guys who were running the sale, and apparently they make their living by going to different barn sales looking for unique items to buy and resell. They were extremely friendly, and I must say they were super kind to let me practice my photography knowing very well that we weren’t going to be making any purchases 🙂
Have you ever been to a barn sale? What was your coolest find?? Let me know in the comments below!!
