FOUR DAYS OF FASHION WEEK | DAY THREE: Taoray Wang
THE BIG DAY!
Taoray Wang was my first and only show at the main location where a majority of the shows were hosted. It’s crazy because standing in line to get into the show was an absolute nightmare and I was like, “why am I even putting myself through this?” I was starting to get sick at this point so my tolerance for the shoving and the pompous, entitled fashion week attitudes was extremely low. BUT we finally got in AND I WAS UPGRADED TO RUNWAY SEATING! I have no idea how this happened but I have to say that it was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. I ended up sitting next to Jeannie Mae who I grew up watching on the Style Network and is currently a co-host on The Real. She is so beautiful and down to earth and just absolutely incredible. Now for the actual show, granted I only ended up seeing two, this was hands down my favorite collection. I loved every single piece and would wear it all. The website says her clothes are designed for the powerful, professional and modern woman who wants to be stylish, elegant, and sexy. UM hello?! Perfection! After the show was over I met up with my new friend Laura from Laura Morsman Photography for a quick post-show shoot. I had absolutely no idea that I was going to attract so many cameras! I did two interviews for two separate companies from China, had several photographer’s approach me for street style shots, and ICYMI, had some features from big names like Essence and Refinery29. This day was like a dream come true. Absolutely unreal.
I’m realizing that this really is my last post, because the next day I was sick in bed literally all day haha. So stay tuned tomorrow for my final thoughts and what I will and will NOT be doing next year.
