OOTD | Vintage Crop in East Village

DSC01355LOW

MY FIRST #OOTD post on the blog!  It is incredibly overdue!!

So this was a really simple outfit that I had picked for brunch with some of my best friends in East Village at a place called Moonstruck Eatery.  For $15 you get a full-sized entrée, hot or iced coffee, a side, AND an alcoholic beverage!  This is like..the deal of the century. I normally wouldn’t go for a crop top for brunch (because who wants their stomach hanging out after stuffing your face with delicious brunch foods?! BEST meal of the day hands down, btw.) But I have been having some stomach issues (so sad, but not new for me unfortunately) so I knew I wasn’t going to eat too, too much.  It’s also a longer crop so my stomach was JUST covered enough for me to find it acceptable.

The first thing that Mav asked me when he saw my top was, “Did you get that from your mom’s closet?” LOL I love shopping in my mom’s closet!!  She has the best stuff!  However, this I actually got from a thrift store in Texas a really long time ago. If you didn’t know already, I am #teamleggingsarepants and I am proud!  Especially if you buy higher quality leggings like these!  I bought these from Marshalls last winter and I love them!  They are really thick, so they keep me warm, and they have the cutest golden accent zippers!  The boots I got this past fall from DSW and have been my go-to as far as shoes go.  I really need to work on expanding my shoe collection. Next OOTD will hopefully be more new and up to date clothes so I can provide you with EXACT links, but I have found some comparable items!

I love the East Village because it has a lot of really beautiful artwork on random walls like this one, and apparently has amazing brunch spots as well!  Have you eaten at Moonstruck??  What did you get?  Is it weird that I’m obsessed with knowing foods that people eat??
