We Went to Woodstock, NY
It’s so funny to me that to this day when people hear you’re going to Woodstock, NY they automatically assume you’re going to some insane, crazy, concert like the one in the 60’s. How freaking incredible did that concert have to be for that STILL to be what people think about whenever they hear Woodstock??
Needless to say, I did not attend any crazy concerts while in Woodstock but I absolutely fell in love with the city. There’s so much charm and personality and it’s breathtakingly beautiful. I’m obsessed with the Hudson Valley (if you’ve never been, you really have to go at some point!!) and Woodstock is amazing because it’s only a little under 2 hours away from NYC! How is that possible?!!? A little oasis that is so easy to get to. Mav and I mostly just chilled while we were here, but we took some time to look at some of the stores and restaurants in the main town. We ate at the same incredible restaurant called Shindig for the two meals we ate out while we were there (they had GF brioche buns, OMG drool…) and then just took some time to unwind from crazy city life. Guys, I can’t remember the last time I felt so inspired to just write and create while I was here. I had the opportunity to wake up and play the piano while overlooking the beautiful mountain and forest view. Like, holy breathtaking!! I have to say that it really jump started the inspiration for a lot of the cool things I’m working on and I hope to share that journey with y’all soon. Please, let me know in the comments if there are places I need to make sure to stop by the next time I go because believe me, there will definitely be a next time!
