THE BEAUTIFUL WOLLATON PARK!

Some of you may recognize this building, as it was used in multiple scenes of the Dark Knight with Christian Bale, but wow guys.  Saying this place is beautiful is a complete understatement.  I’m determined to get married here.  I should probably back it up and give a little history.  It’s like tucked away in Nottingham, but it just takes a short walk through this ominous black gate and beautiful/creepy tree-lined pathway and then it’s just this beautiful grandiose sight.
Wollaton Park is this estate that sits on acres and acres of land (and is now a deer park) but consists of multiple beautiful buildings including the main mansion which has been renovated by family members over the years and is now a museum!  The museum was crazy because it had a couple of areas that they had preserved so the house could keep its original character, but they also had a ton of different types of stuffed animals (and I don’t mean toys), as well as insects and some different types of rocks and fossils.  There were super old mastodon tusks that were as big as the Maverick! One of my favorite parts was a room in the house that held one of the staircases and had these beautiful walls and ceilings that the family had gotten professionally painted.  Everything about this place is just absolutely breathtaking and I had a great time with the Maverick touring me around.  If you’re ever in or near Nottingham you HAVE to stop by.  It’s a great place to bring your dog to run around or have a romantic picnic, or museum history date!  There’s a small cafe on site so you can get snacks as well as a full golf course, but you have to be careful during mating season because the deer get pretty aggressive!  If you’ve ever been to Wollaton, or happened to get married there..please tell me about it!!
